Company History

First Venture has been helping Buyers and Sellers for over 30 years. Emory Thomas and Dave Tomeo started the company as a VR franchise for the first five years of its inception, but soon outgrew the need for franchise support. The brokerage went on to became the largest independent brokerage in Hillsborough County. After 11 years it was acquired by James H. White & Associates, the largest business brokerage in Pinellas County. The two companies became the dominant brokerage in both counties for the next four years. James White retired from the industry and the company reorganized as First Venture Associates.

Doug Flowerree, the Sales Manager of James H. White, became the Broker/President and now owns the company. Dave Tomeo still remains active as a “top” associate and manager, along with many other excellently qualified associates, see Our Associates page.
